Pez’s intelligent lyrical take and gritty melodies have seen him emerge as one of the most distinctive new voices on the Australian music scene. His 2008 debut single “The Festival Song” became the highest charting hip hop track on the Triple J Hot #100 (reaching #7), rocketed to #1 on the AIR single charts, and #11 on the ARIA Urban Single Charts.

Pez then quickly established his credentials as one of this country’s premiere live hip hop acts by handing in a series of superb shows on his 2009 national tour as his ARIA nominated debut album “A Mind Of My Own” became a critical and commercial success story (peaking at #4 on the AIR album charts and #14 on the ARIA Urban Album charts).

In 2010 Pez began laying the groundwork for his follow-up album. In June he was nominated for APRA Urban Work of the Year and in the same month helped launch The Line, the Federal Government’s pro-respect anti violence campaign at the APRA Song Summit with Maya Jupiter, Lisa Mitchell, and Tenielle.

In 2011 Pez has already guested on fellow Soulmate label artist 360’s slice of summer single “Just Got Started”.
